Product Options

Choose between three cryogenic cable product categories based on your specific application requirements.

Rigid Aluminium Alloy Tube Cable

Lightweight with good air tightness. Maintains excellent mechanical performance at low temp.

Advantages:

  • Cost-effective solution
  • Low density, non-magnetic
  • Alloy phase stability at low temperature
  • Less specific resistance in magnetic field
  • Good air tightness
  • Fast attenuation of induced radiation energy

Rigid Cupronickel Alloy Tube Cable

Slightly higher performance properties compared to Rigid Aluminium Alloy. No low temperature brittleness.

Advantages:

  • No low temperature brittleness
  • Good weldability
  • Low resistivity
  • Strong oxidation resistance
  • Chemical resistance
  • Non-magnetic
  • High cost performance
  • Good manufacturability

Rigid Niob-Titan Alloy Tube Cable

Maintains excellent mechanical properties at ultra-low temperature. Superconducting properties.

Advantages:

  • Very low thermal conductivity
  • Available in strong magnetic fields up to 11T (Tesla)
  • NbTi (Nb: 50%) has low heat capacity, which is 3 at 4K × 10–4 W/cm
  • Used in strong magnetic field environment

Use Case: Quantum Computing

Radiocomm offers three types of cable assemblies that can be used for each of the temperature 'tier' requirements found in a quantum computer system. Niobium-titanium (Niob-Titan) alloy cable assemblies can support the 'ultra-harsh' cold environments while the Aluminum alloy assemblies are only suitable for the 'warmest' of the three temperature tiers:
